Hi all.
Another batch of tests.
Amplifier= Powerbass XA-3000d @ 2ohm (Approx 1200 to 1600wrms)
This time using a single 1.5 Cu.Ft. Box tuned to 40Hz and 27Hz (When one side of the port is blocked).
1st up is the Adassa Audio 10" which has been run in for two days.
3" Voice Coil.
Triple stacked magnets.
Triple Stacked 0.75" magnets
Sounds very, very punchy.
Here are the scores:
40Hz Tuning:
Total Average = 132.9dB
Peak = 137.4dB @ 41 Hz
40Hz = 137.1dB
33Hz = 135.9dB
25Hz = 127.1dB
20Hz = 127.3dB
dB drag = 139.4dB
Now you`ll see a huge difference in Peak SPL which is why people are getting confused as to why my 3x 10"s are not hitting 145dB+
If you want lower end, sacrifices have to be made.
27Hz Tuning:
Total Average = 132.7dB
Peak = 134.1dB @ 30 Hz
40Hz = 132.9dB
33Hz = 132.7dB
25Hz = 133.2dB
20Hz = 131.0dB
dB drag = 135.0dB
Nice scores from the Adassa sub - 139.4dB in dB drag(Where did that come from !!! , is I think, very good from 1x 10" sub in a medium sized hatch back.
_________________ Adassa Audio
